Hello and welcome foreign students! How is it going? Hope you are having fun with us. Today’s post is focused on international students interested in non US Business Schools.
Recently Forbes released the ranking of top non US business Schools, based on the return on investment five years after graduation.
Best Non US one year MBA program
In Europe, business schools offer an elite one year program, which is the prime factor which differentiates it from US business Schools. “IMD makes job stress seem like a walk in the park, but it sure prepares you well for it,” says IMD grad Rok Trost.
According to the Forbes’ rankings of M.B.A. programs the No. 1 program outside the U.S. for ROI is IMD, located in Lausanne, Switzerland which racked up a “5-year M.B.A. gain” of $230,000.
IMD program has just 90 students, which allows for individual career coaches for all MBA candidates, and mandatory class time is set aside for career development throughout the year. In addition to this IMD arranges an annual two-week trip to South Africa for the entire class to work with 20 to 25 small businesses on things like operational efficiencies, marketing strategies and working capital improvements. “IMD is unique in how deeply imbedded we are in the relationship between theory and practice,” says Martha Maznevski, Director of the IMD MBA Program.
Best non US two year MBA program
For the two year MBA program, London Business School with a 5-year M.B.A. gain of $155,000 and a median payback period of 3.2 years, tops the list. “The LBS MBA is one of the best things that happened in my life. Diversity at LBS is underpinned with a truly international class, greater depth in prior experience of classmates and the diversity of the faculty,” says Sid Azad, LBS class of 2006.
Graduates of MBA programs outside the U.S. are in high demand, says Forbes, because of the international perspective that comes with their degree. You can view the complete Forbes report here.
Till then enjoy the weekend, see you next week!
